A daily prayer for these troubled times- for you adapted from Psalm 91
I dwell in the shelter of The Most High. I rest in the shadow of The Almighty.
I say of The Lord, you are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.
Surely you save me from the powers of the evil in this world, and from deadly pestilence.
You cover me with your feathers, and under your wings I find refuge.
Your faithfulness, O God, is my shield and my fortress.
Therefore, I will not fear the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at mid day.
A thousand my fall at my side, ten thousand at my right hand, but it will not come near me.
Only with my eyes will I see the punishments of the wicked.
Because I make the Most High my dwelling, the Lord who is my refuge; no harm will befall me.
No disaster will overcome me. For you will command angels concerning me, to guard me in all my ways. They will lift me up in their hands, so that I do not strike may foot against a stone.
I can tread upon the ways of the world, and the teachers of false religions.I can trample both the great lions of world power and the serpents of deception.
Lord, I love you, and I yield my self to Thy Holy Sovereign will, may it be done in me; for I am Thy servant.
Because they love me says The Lord, I will rescue them and protect them, for they acknowledged my Name.
They will call upon me and I will answer them, I will be with them in trouble;
and I will deliver and honor them with a long life.
I will satisfy them and show them my salvation.
Do not I, the God of Creation, always do what is right?
Then, be still, and know that I am God.
