2 Timothy 3 New International Version (NIV) 3 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4 treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God— 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people.
Years ago I read about a movie. The protagonist meets a homeless man and continues daily to provide for him. This seems to be the love Christ requires of us and I’ve endeavored to do that with someone here who has a multitude of mental problems and employment problems, and if not for me would be in a pauper’s grave long ago.
Yet, after pouring a fortune into this person’s maintenance he still is working on having a reliable employment. He is addicted to a smart phone and absolutely incapable of any sort of multi-tasking. I watched him watching a movie. He consumed a dish I made for our lunch, rice, fried chicken, with a bit of excellent sweet and sour sauce over it. He wolfed it down without so much as an “umm!” Nothing. He was glued to that smart phone movie and right now is washing dishes and I hear the movie in the background. I’m actually surprised he can both wash dishes and hear or see it simultaneously!
What has happened to people? I read years ago the book, “The Dumbing Down of America.” It is the dumbing down of everyone tied to western culture! People in The Philippines (where I live most of my time) are in many respects, just the same as Americans but poorer. If they earn any money they waste it watching televisied rubbish.
Facebook says I have over 500 “friends” and I reach at most 12 of them. FB does not WANT me to reach more. I’m a fly in the ointment. I am a second radio music station ruining the sound. I’m one of the few who will read more than 25-words and think for himself and therefore I am a very bad influence.

IT’S A MAD, MAD WORLD
Americans have been so dumbed down and pacified they believe the madness of this world is actually normal. Day after day we live lives of quiet desperation. Despite all evidence, our world is spinning out of control and the madness of the crowds is visible in financial markets, housing markets, politics, social justice, and social media. The level of normalcy bias among the populace has reached astounding levels as we desperately try to convince ourselves everything will be all right. But it won’t!
As James Quinn recently wrote in The Burning Platform: The opiate of the masses is not religion (as Karl Marx said), but the propaganda, misinformation, lies, and technological distractions designed by the invisible government ruling class to provide the masses with pleasant illusions about their country, society, and material situation. If the masses were to wake up and realize they are being manipulated, oppressed, and corralled like sheep, revolution would sweep the land. People are being driven mad by an overwhelming feeling of cognitive dissonance.
A POPULATION IN DENIAL
Evidence of decline caused by the excessive use of debt and the systematic corruption of government, finance, and the media is everywhere. The mental denial and passivity required by a vast swath of the population who see it and do nothing has created a society of mentally stressed zombies. They know things aren’t right, but to admit the truth would shatter their delusions and require them to act. It’s easier to self-medicate with drugs, alcohol, non-stop entertainment, and losing themselves in their technological fantasy world of social media. They would rather believe comforting lies than deal with uncomfortable truth.
They go along with the lies because to do otherwise would threaten their comfortable dream world.
We are running in circles, getting up early every morning, following the same routine, dutifully going to our work cubicles, seeing the same people, doing the same things, and pretending it all matters, for a paycheck worth less each day.
We do this because we are trained like animals to believe buying things we don’t need on credit is the way to get ahead in life. Materialism, consumerism, greed, and keeping up with the Joneses has been embedded in our brains through years of government school indoctrination and media propaganda.
Very few people succeed in getting ahead. They are just running on a hamster wheel and going nowhere. This is why there is so much depression, anger, and misplaced priority in our lives.
A DYSFUNCTIONAL CULTURE
This dysfunctional culture has resulted in soaring levels of suicide (now the highest in US history), drug overdoses, depression, and the formation of mentally unstable people who periodically go on shooting rampages for no logical reason.
Turn on the 24-hour news and try to believe the world has not gone mad. Our society did not become so ludicrous, misguided, and defective overnight. It has been decades in the making by the political left and globalist Establishment.
It can be attributed in part to the purposeful effort by those in control of the government to destroy our education system and replace it with a social indoctrination system.
Children are no longer taught how to think, but how to feel. Children are being raised by the state as nothing more than cogs in the machine.
FATHERLESS/BRAINWASHED CHILDREN
– The family unit has self-destructed as millions of children are raised in fatherless, broken, and/or dysfunctional households. Forty percent of US babies are now born to unwed mothers, and the national divorce rate is close to 60%. Children are not taught how to act and think by loving parents at home, so they are easily susceptible to the social justice dogma jammed down their throats by liberal teachers who themselves were brainwashed in our public schools. As Frank Zappa pointed out years ago, you need to educate yourself and not let government schools rot your mind.
We didn’t heed his advice.
Children who question authority or do not act in a subservient manner are immediately diagnosed with ADD and drugged into submission. The public-school system doesn’t want high performers, critical thinkers, or anyone else questioning their government mandated orthodoxy.
The ruling class (aka Deep State) wants controllable, malleable, non-thinking serfs to do the menial, low paying jobs, buy cheap foreign goods with their credit cards, and be dependent upon the state for their miserable existence. George Carlin figured it out many years ago:
“They want obedient workers. People who are just smart enough to run the machines and do the paperwork, and just dumb enough to passably accept all these increasingly menial jobs with the lower pay, the longer hours, the reduced benefits, the end of overtime, and the vanishing pension that disappears the minute you go to collect it. And all day long, the Establishment is brainwashing you in their media (think CNN) – telling you what to believe, what to think, and what to buy. The table is tilted, folks. The game is rigged. And nobody seems to notice. Nobody seems to care.”
THE MILLENNIALS ARE OUR FUTURE
Unhappy, drugged up, deluded children who have been treated like a number, grow up to be unhappy, overly medicated, easily manipulated adults, creating the mad world we are experiencing today.
Just study the millennials to see where we are and what the future of America is. Children are waiting for the day they will feel good – but the day will never come. They grow up and do as they are told – going into massive debt to get a worthless college education – learning how to be offended – graduating as special snowflakes seeking safe spaces.
After being protected and propagandized during their entire youth, they are entirely unprepared for the real world of low wages, menial labor, and thinking for themselves.

Mr. McAlvany and I agree. He said little about the American Educational system.
The American school system is not an Educational Institution. To call it so is just more of the Marxist redefining of everything. These school are in fact Institutes of Indoctrination! Young people from age 5 are carefully indoctrinated into an entirely different morality, a new way of thinking about their gender and their person, and the source of the universe!
THAT is why the society is upside down and so dangerous and confused. This confusion permeates into everything! Something so simple as making a new website for a friend, or adding a phone number to my cell phone becomes a major project because technicians (who run our lives now) have apparently learned an entirely different way of thinking and directing activities. In a minute they could delete my bank account and I would starve to death trying to get it restored. It’s really truly a bit frightening.
The “smart phone” has become so addictive, masses of people bury their attention in it, cannot answer you when you speak to them, and seem incapable of thinking beyond what they’re focused upon in their palm. If that same mind was required to multi task to save his life or the lives of others, it appears he/she could not do it!
In a fit of anger some years ago President Ferdinand Marcos of The Philippines said, “The Americans Are Idiots!” I’m guessing he was only discussing politics and the behind the scenes (deep state) pressure by the CIA to do his bidding, or end up dead. To understand this better see the older book, “Confessions of an Economic Hit Man.“
The “hitmen” would visit a country’s president, tell him we want to loan them a huge pile of dough in exchange for which Dick Chaney’s Halliburton Corporation would build more harbor, more electrical system, more of all sorts of infrastructure than the country would ever need. The country would thereafter pay this loan, essentially forever, and in this way become a colony of the USA, and often the host of a military base. If the President would not comply he got another warning, and then he got a visit from “The Jackals” who left him beaten, or tortured, or with an additional hole in his head. He had to sign an agreement to begin the work or he would never sign anything ever again.
It might be Mr. Marcos was screaming about them. Idiots they were not. But today the shout applies to most of America’s people age 60 and younger! I have met old school mates who are thoughtless boobies. I have a pile of “FB Friends” who behave like they cannot read! They have no discipline to read.
My dear friend Mr. Hal Green once told me book sales were falling. Lately he point to this.
The falling statistics about reading are a portent of a doomed society! To say, “It’s disturbing” doesn’t come close. We know there are mountains of books to consider but no reading along with no math skills, no geography, no understanding of basic sciences, or sociology, or psychology, or personal health maintenance is all together a portent of doom!

I had been looking for good Christmas stories and couldn’t find any. After a woman produced a story that ran along the lines; “I did this and I felt that” all the way through I was so disgusted I determined to write my own piece, which became a combination article/story.
I realize I’m not a novelist and one can always improve but I think I made fair effort. I just earlier mentioned Mr. Green. Mr. Hal Green is the famous old ABC and NBC White House reporter. He really set world standards for radio and TV operations and programming. He said he liked what I wrote, so I offer it to you for your consideration. I don’t think Hal would say it was pretty good if it was that bad. Neither do I think my abilities are extraordinary. The fact is I’d like to be much smarter!
I think the problem stems from the earliest school “indoctrination” programs. Amerika doesn’t know it is going Communist, and “has gone stupid.”
Before I published this piece, I left a note on my Facebook timeline saying I would produce a story, “Will you read it and give me a critique?” Four people said they would. None of them even opened it! If they did they saw it was longer than 200-words and closed it again. OR…. It’s sooo bad, no one has the heart to tell me I should go back to selling septic tank cleaning services.
Where does this nation end?
“Ambassador Kotch,” he said, “how does this all end?” The creature standing before him produced the sound of rushing wind and answered, “In Fire.”
How will America end? If Bible prophecy is to be believed, I’m afraid the country will experience a sudden rise in temperature to 5,000 degrees Kelvin and burn to nothing but ashes because “the enemy” has done a masterful and diabolically superb job of deceit causing such mass mental cognitive dissonance as our world has never previously known.
This is what happens to societies that have turned their back on God, and accepted a moral relative truth, changeable at whim, worshiping other gods and “things.” Even murdering their own children for convenience.
This is what happened in the past to such societies. They burned up or were taken captive and enslaved, or a bit of both. Ours is a massive society. The material goods representing the best of long hard intelligently applied hours in art museums and libraries, in furniture stores, tool shops, and floating in luxury yacht marinas, are testament to men who lived not so long ago, competent, capable, quietly focused upon their work and doing the best job they could do.
Today, my painfully recalled experiences include people who cannot bring themselves to speak the truth, and will instead dispense lies, dispense death, and die by their own hands or by the weapons produced by smarter, and equally immoral others.
