But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Have you ever had something that was so painful in your life that you would pray and ask God to remove it, but it just wouldn’t go away? It seemed the more you prayed about it the worse it would become. Sometimes God will take us through the wilderness experience to teach us to trust him. Everything we go through and experience is a part of God’s great purpose and plan for our life.
Thorns in your side are painful, yet the experience makes you to trust in God all the more, knowing your Heavenly reward will be greater for having passed this way and learned through the experience to sacrifice all and give all of yourself to God.
Be encouraged in knowing that no matter your thorn that God is with you and the painful experience is temporary. Pray over it and remind yourself, “This is not me. This is an idea I have been holding. I can stop giving it my creative energy and let it go.
See it dissipate like fog and then replace it with what you would prefer.
Dear Heavenly Father, I pray in thanksgiving that my perspective is changing so that I begin now to see from your viewpoint as You see. For our thoughts are not Your thoughts and our ways are not Your ways. Help me and all of us to trust You in all circumstances. In the blessed and holy name of Jesus our Christ Name, I pray. And thank you, thank you and thank you.
What are some thorns in your life? Write down your list and go through these day by day clearing away these upsets, writing notes about how you feel now that you’ve tried this personal “therapy” and continue do this as it will help you clear more and more of these upsets away given time and effort.
Are you trusting God with them? If not yet, now is the time to let the Almighty cleanse you of past moments and replace these with a happier and more hopeful future.
