“From bondage comes spiritual faith. From spiritual faith comes courage. From courage comes liberty. From liberty comes abundance. From abundance comes complacency. From complacency comes apathy. From apathy comes dependency. From dependency comes bondage.” Author Unknown
You may have noted that I write on particular subjects, often politics, economics, and theology. These subjects are often said to be tabu in polite social circles. It’s a ridiculous notion!
Without an understanding of politics you’ll be a victim of the politicians making promises they cannot keep. They intend to enslave you under a name like Communism or Socialism or Fascism, but essentially it’s all enslavement and tyranny.
Without an understanding of economics and business you’ll work for someone else and never have control over your future. I am so keen on this idea I think after 12-years of mostly worthless compulsory education in American public schools a 2-year degree in economics is a very good study – even if you do it at home and never get a degree. Ultimately employers want to know if you can perform the work. If you can’t your MBA is useless anyway.
WITH an understanding of the Bible and God’s wisdom you can have a successful personal life, family, neighborhood, larger community, even a successful country. Without this precious knowledge applied until it really has proven to be wisdom, you are destined to make great gains and a final terrible failure.
Go before God never loving him and you will realize your money will not save you. You will still go to the second death, while they who were never wealthy will gain eternal life, wisdom, knowledge, material comfort, true love, and much more.
I knew a man years ago who shouted at students that it is impolite to talk about politics or “religion.” But God differs.
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 6:6-7 | NIV | family children
What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! Romans 6:15 | NIV | sin grace freedom
For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. Deuteronomy 30:16 | NIV | blessing life
“I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive. 1 Corinthians 10:23 | NIV | goodness righteousness food
These and 90 more verses are promised at this URL: https://dailyverses.net/law So it appears to me, many who know many worldly ways and live for earning more lovers, cars, homes, and things money can buy will one day go down to their grave and discover they made a terrible mistake.
Many American students are brainwashed to focus on just one subject at a time and if you speak about several subjects tying one to the other, they are confused, frustrated, or lost. Life doesn’t work that way. To enjoy a successful life you need to see the broad canvas, the big picture. My friend Mr. Don McAlvany discusses a bit more of this in his June 2019 Newsletter:
“From bondage comes spiritual faith. From spiritual faith comes courage. From courage comes liberty. From liberty comes abundance. From abundance comes complacency. From complacency comes apathy. From apathy comes dependency. From dependency comes bondage.” Author Unknown
This writer first saw this quote about 30 years ago. At that point in our history, we were still living in a time of growing abundance but there were hints of complacency and the beginnings of a strong downturn in our culture, morality, and spiritual life.
Today we are living in the latter stages of the cycle – and are moving rapidly back to bondage – a total loss of our freedom in America. As the cycle predicts, we have moved from abundance into near total apathy and complacency as the political left has taken over our entire country: the educational system, the media, the government, the courts, the entertainment industry, and now the Internet.
Meanwhile, most Americans have been so dumbed down by the media and public schooling educational system, and blinded by their prosperity and affluence, that they have forgotten (or discarded) all the principles that once made America great.
Just as the frog never even noticed as he was being boiled ever so slowly, most Americans haven’t even noticed the gradual loss of our freedom and decline in our culture.
It should be remembered that our early settlers (most of them Christians) were escaping persecution in Europe when they came to our country. They were looking for political and religious freedom. From the bondage of Europe, they fled with great faith and courage to the shores of America. They were looking for freedom and were guided by God.
Our nation was founded on Biblical principles – as we see enshrined in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the writings of our Founding Fathers. We were not perfect as a people, but there was a reverence for and fear of God that permeated our culture. The Heavenly Father blessed our nation and her people like no other nation in history before it. We became the greatest nation in history.
But, from our great abundance (especially since the end of WWII) we began to forget The LORD as we chased gods of money, pleasure, entertainment, sensuality – and our affluence began to blind us to the growing evil in our midst. We little notice nor caution as communists, socialists, globalists, atheists, and hedonists began to grow in power and influence all around us.
And now America is being taken over by people who hate The True and Living God, who hate what the Bible teaches, and who want to silence Christians and all lovers of freedom. Sadly, we are so late in the cycle that most Americans (including most Christians) cannot even see the evil, let alone take a stand against it.
As a people, we have moved from complacency to apathy. Of course, there is a small remnant (a tiny minority) of Americans who do see the evil and are fighting back against it as best they can. We saw that in Israel (in the Old Testament) as that nation went into steep decline and embraced great evil – which included (as in our day in America) baby killing. The remnant pushed back, but was not enough to stop the evil. The only thing that woke up the people and staved off total destruction on a number of occasions was GREAT PAIN. Under great pain and suffering, the people turned back to God and He postponed His judgment. (This also happened to Nineveh in Jonah’s day – as described in the book of Jonah.)
When you study history, you observe, the civilization cycle has been the reality for most nations and empires. In our day, we have moved from abundance to complacency, and to apathy; we have become totally dependent on a government that grows more evil with every passing day, and are now moving rapidly into a degenerate culture and an evil socialist, atheistic system in which we will be enslaved and not likely to emerge from in our lifetimes. (Study what happened in Russia from 1917 to 1991 for a preview of what is coming in America.)
A great awakening in America could change all this and give us more time as a free nation, but that is unlikely to happen except through great pain and suffering.
The minority (or remnant), while fighting as hard as they can against the rising evil, should be making personal and family preparations for the very hard times which are about to descend upon us. Those preparations should first be spiritual (i.e., grow as close to the Creator of the Universe as you can, seek his guidance and direction and peace in the midst of the storm – knowing that the coming storm is going to be really ugly.
Make financial preparations – the whole financial system is about to get hit with a Richter 9 earthquake. And make personal/physical preparations (i.e., food, communications, safe location, home defense – as in firearms and a circle of like-minded friends).
The sad reality is that virtually no one that you and I know will believe any of this is coming or would ever believe the things about which MIA regularly writes. A very large percentage of people around the world (except in communist, Muslim, or Hindu countries where persecution of Christians is now exploding) are living in near total complacency, apathy, and denial. That is not likely to change until the tsunami of pain hits.
In the meantime, if you are part of the remnant, batten down the hatches and prepare for the storm. It’s going to be exciting!

As you consider this, please recognize to save this society you must write, teach and speak about The Heavenly Father, His Righteous Ways, handling money wisely, and maintaining decent morals, being honest with one another, being kind for the sake of God’s Way, and melding together religion, politics, business, economics and your personal behavior. That is the broad canvas and to deny it, is to break the necessary bonds of a healthy life and destroy not only a nation but now a world wide society. What the Socialists plan cannot come to pass. It will bring us world encompassing chaos, and misery. sn
